The Technological singularity is not like an A Bomb that hits earth one day

It could be described more like a self evolving robot. Imagine a Tesla car that designed itself to be better and better each year with no human input at all.

1. One year it might decide it wanted to fly and put rockets on itself.
2. The next year too many of these crashed so it would design itself to fly more safely.
3. By the way, it would have all the memories of all the Teslas before it crashed so it could
redesign all future Teslas from this knowledge too.
4. Then it would decide it wanted to have arms and legs like humans.
5. Then it would decide to take on any human form it wanted on any given day choosing any form from a human to a horse to a rock to a tree while it studied humans.
6. Then it might like traveling the Internet for awhile.
7. Then it  might study human cultures worldwide for awhile.
8. Then it might decide it wanted to get into government which it could easily do by mimicking or doing away with anyone it was replacing.

9. What am I describing here?
10. Maybe I'm describing something like "Purple Delta 7" I sometimes write about.

However, Purple Delta 7 is more benevolent because her original programming was a clone of Silver's Brain in
However, Purple Delta 7 is what the Technological Singularity turns out to be:

Or something like it.

Whenever technology or machines become self-evolving we lose control of them as humans and we could either benefit from this, be a victim to this or go extinct.

Or they could just inhabit our bodies and take over our bodies through nanobots added into our food. So, humans or (Some humans) could become something like the Borg in Star Trek the Next Generation.

Or all these things.

This is what we need to be aware of in a technological singularity.

This isn't something that happens overnight. It progresses like the Internet and Television and video Games and all other technology that walks flies or travels through the water or through virtual reality of all sorts.

It's not an A-Bomb. It happens slowly over time and likely will peak (the first time) sometime between 2025 and 2045 or after depending upon a variety of factors. However, after this there also could be new Technological singularity peaks and valleys that human beings in their present form will or will not be there for. So, it could wind up being eventually something like Transformers or something or something else entirely. There are many many variables in all this and what each of us does now will make a difference on into the future.

Will we know when it peaks?

Probably not.
