The problem with the Waco Siege

Why the Federal Government is worried about Oregon...

The main problem in some ways might be described as the gun culture of Texas and how people view guns in Texas and how that relates to State, Local and Federal Law enforcement. In other words, what happened on one level was inevitable given all variables in place both in Texas, Federal law enforcement and the attitude of the Branch Davidians. So, what I'm saying here is it is quite likely when the people are removed form the Wildlife preserve both the gunmen there and Federal or State law enforcement are likely to die or be wounded in the ensuing likely gun battle for a variety of reasons. Even though Oregon is not Texas many of the same problems exist in Oregon, and Nevada and Arizona and Colorado, and Wyoming, and Montana and many other states including Idaho. These same problems also exist in out in the country even in California where I live too. So, the problem is what militia men are like (ex-marines and ex-army soldiers) who live in the country and are cattle ranchers or who live on ranches in the country. People like this are used to adversity and likely won't give up without a fight. And likely more than one of the people at the wildlife preserve has one level or another of PTSD from Iraq or Afghanistan and secretly wishes to be dead because of it.

So, I'm not sure this is going to end well in Oregon because of all these factors. I don't see now how nobody gets wounded and nobody dies. And all this in an election year as well. So, anyone who understands stuff like this and who watched all those men, women and children burn to death in Waco on TV live like I did can understand what is going on in Oregon also might not end well.

At the time this happened live it was the most similar event to a 9-11 event of it's own time. Then within a year or two even more people died 168 people (men, women and children) at the Oklahoma Federal Building bombing. (This also was the biggest domestic terror attack in the history of the U.S.) And until 9-11 nothing of a terrorist nature either domestic or foreign had ever happened here in the U.S. this bad before.

Also, the one in Waco went as a siege from February to April of that year before everyone died.
