Pray for What you Need

There is what you want and there is what you need.
Learning the difference often is the key to who survives in life and who doesn't.
So, learning to pray for what you need might be important at least in the short run so you
can survive the times you need to to when you might just get exactly what you want.

There have been many times in my life that I wondered how I could go on another moment or another day. It hasn't been like this for at least 10 or more years though now. But, for most of my adult life at times it wasn't easy for one reason or another.

It seems like in life there are different problems at every time in life. In my own life health wasn't much of a problem from age 15 to age 40 to 45 but was at age 2 and from 10 to 15. Then sometimes if you are lucky and efficient and compassionate enough to yourself and to others, you succeed in one or more ways along the way and many of the things you used to worry about drop away.

However, even then keeping your health both physical and mental is an ongoing discipline. You have to be very observant of the changes within and around you to keep going  at every point in life.

So, if you learn to pray for what you need you might survive anything.
But if you only demand what you want you might not survive even today.
But, one day you might pray for what you want and get it and your life might be amazing like that from then on. So, by asking for what you need you might get to the times in your life when you actually get what you really want. But, will you be ready and prepared for that?

You might want a Cadillac El Dorado but need a Prius so you can afford to pay for the gas, car payments and insurance. So, until you are making enough money to afford what you want maybe you should drive a car (or life) that you can survive for now.

All the while being open and ready for what you want to suddenly appear in your life and be grateful to God for that. Life is never what we expect it to be. But still it can be amazing!
