Neanderthals

I was watching a program on Nova that was talking about how Europeans and Asians are more related to Neanderthals than are Africans. Europeans and Asians have between 1% and 4% genetic material from interbreeding with Neanderthals. I was wondering does this mean that Neanderthals lived in colder climates naturally? Maybe Neanderthals helped newcomers to colder climates from Africa and the Middle East to adapt and to survive in Colder climates. They were also talking about how flint cutting and scraping tools were incredibly sharp and in some cases even self sharpening in the design of the flaking of the main rock. This was pretty amazing to learn about for me. Because some of these Neanderthal very efficient cutting flint tools were from 250,000 years ago.

The name of this particular program is Nova "Decoding Neaderthals", S40/Ep/07, (2013) Examining evidence about Neanderthals that sheds light on the hominids, which died off some 30,000 years ago.

The highest concentration of Neanderthal Blood on Earth is in Tuscany, Italy. The primary advantage to having Neanderthal blood is that these immune systems are good at fighting off diseases. So, when our ancestors came from Africa they were more sickly in Alpine climates because their genetics were used to tropical climates not Alpine ones. Since Neanderthals had already adapted to Alpine climates the Africans who came up from Africa and the Middles East who interbred with Neanderthals had children that died less often when young. So, the scientists found through researching thousands of people's dna that Neanderthals were only 1 for every 10 modern humans at that time. So, they were interbred with modern humans so they didn't die out they were interbred out of existence to where all people on earth have between 1% and 4% of their genetics related to Neanderthals. And the main advantage to Neanderthal blood (discovered so far) is the Neanderthal immune system was better than any other humans on earth including modern ones. This is what the scientists found when researching modern humans DNA. So, it is possible that the more Neanderthal blood you have the more likely you will not die of Immune system based diseases.
